This study investigates the interaction between a blast wave and a flame within a confined slender channel. The channel is filled with a stoichiometric methane-air mixture. A blast wave is initiated from one end while a flame is initiated from the opposite end. The interaction between the pressure wave and the combustion front is found to significantly alter the subsequent flame dynamics.
