The runic pattern formation instability due to the evaporation-reaction-diffusion process captures the deposition of lipid micelles trapping dye molecules on the surface of a spherical flask. This particular experimental condition at 60C produces the most interesting set of patterns, which is examined under a high magnification microscope. We reveal intricate details around the pattern forming runescape in order to help us understand the initial static conditions of many dynamic pattern formation processes.
