This project investigates processes of visualizing a natural phenomenon in Fluid Dynamics, Vortex Induced Vibrations, through a collaboration between fluid dynamicists and architects. Our drawings, models, and artifacts capture ways in which a phenomenon can be studied, interpreted, and understood. Starting with a series of fluid mechanic experiments, which were used to produce architectural drawings, the project evolves into an augmented investigation that shed light on the scientific finding, while also proliferating to offer formal and spatial possibilities for architecture.
