Biomass pyrolysis is a process by which agricultural waste is converted to biofuel (syngas). This process is both turbulent and multiphase and is challenging to optimize. Because builing prototype reactors is not feasible, modeling remains the only viable option. In this work, we demonstrate the importance of multiphase effects on syngas yield and motivate future modeling which will include these effects.
