V0089: Splash and Spray of a Spinning Disk

A partially submerged, rotating disk was suspended in Newtonian (water) and non-Newtonian (water-bentonite dispersion) fluids. The splash and spray for low (150 rpm) and high (190 rpm) rotation rates are shown. Comparisons are made between the two fluids.
