P0031: The motion of a vortex ring across a density interface

This poster shows the PLIF visualizations of a vortex ring crossing a densit interface. We focus our attention to the effect of the sign of the density gradient. Surprisingly, the sign of the density gradient greatly influences the evolution of the ring as it crosses the interface.
