A Large Eddy Simulation of 2 aligned wind turbines under uniform inflow is shown.  Yawing the first turbine can increase the total power. The wake of the yawed turbine is deflected, so when it reaches the second turbine, it only affects a portion of the rotor area, allowing the turbine to produce more power.
