Usual viscous fingering (VF) instabilities occur in miscible or immiscible fluid systems when a less viscous fluid displaces a more viscous one in porous media in Hele-Shaw cells. Here, we find numerous droplets formation in a simple VF experiment in a radial Hele-Shaw cell using partially miscible fluids system. Recently, modifications of VF pattern in both miscible and immiscible systems by several physicochemical effects between two fluids such as chemical reactions, double diffusion, and phase change have been reported. However, this is the first experimental instance on the formation of such a kind pattern (numerous droplets formation) in VF experiment.
