V0048: Large Scale GPU Simulations of the Generalized Thin Film Equation

We present large-scale simulation results for three-dimensional flow of a nematic liquid crystal. With soon to be publicly available GPU code (web.njit.edu/~mal37/gpucode.html), large-scale simulations of the generalized thin film equation can be performed 10-30 times faster than conventional serial CPU code and domains containing several millions of points may be solved within a week.
