The detailed drag and lift force studies performed in the presented simulation videos have an important impact for multiphase flow model development. Multiphase flow modeling is important in design and prediction of many natural and engineering systems. The particular study was done for flow conditions observed in nuclear reactor core flow during normal operation. The closure models developed from these simulation will help design better predictive capabilities in multiphase flow modeling.
